VISION STATEMENT

Head Start of York County, in partnership with families and communities, is the leader in providing excellence in early childhood education and empowering families to achieve self-sufficiency through personal and professional growth.

MISSION STATEMENT

Head Start of York County, in partnership with the community, recognizes and supports families as the primary educators of their children. Head Start provides comprehensive services to assist families to move toward self-sufficiency and to prepare children to enter school as competent learners.

GOALS

	To enable children served by Head Start to enter school as competent learners.
	To increase opportunities for staff to continually grow and develop as life-long learners.
	To increase opportunities for families served by Head Start to continually develop their capacity to support the needs of their family.
	To increase the ability of Head Start to identify, access, and utilize community resources to benefit children and families.
	To increase Head Start’s capacity to adjust to a changing environment.
	To supplement the program by collaborating with local and state resources.
